The 2020 Kia Soul is powered by a 2.0 Liter four-cylinder engine that generates 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. If you're looking for a little extra power to complement the Soul's sporty aesthetics, The GT-Line Turbo has a turbocharged 1.6 Liter four-cylinder engine that boasts 201  horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.

The LX trim features a standard 6-speed manual transmission. A continuously variable automatic transmission is available LX models and standard on all other trims with the 2.0-liter engine. Gear changes for the GT-Line Turbo are handled by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

There are various safety features on the different 2020 Kia Soul Models.  The LX version has six airbags along with a rollover sensor. It has a hill start assist control and a monitoring system to check the tire pressure. For stability, it boasts both electronic stability control and vehicle stability management systems.

The S trim includes High Beam Assist, which automatically adjusts the high beams for low light situations and oncoming traffic. The Driver Attention Warning system will alert the driver if it seems they are getting tired. Both the Blind Spot Detection system alert will let the driver know if there are vehicles in the blind spot, while and the Rear Cross-Traffic lets you know when it's clear to reverse out of a parking space or driveway.

Lane Keeping technology alerts the driver if they are veering into the next lane without signaling first and will help get them back into their lane safely. The Auto Emergency Braking system will also alert if there appears to be something in the way that could cause a collision. If it senses a possible impact, it will automatically engage the brakes to avoid a collision or mitigate its severity.

On the GT-Line Turbo, adaptive cruise control automatically maintains a preset distance from leading vehicles on the highway, reducing the need to switch between the brake and gas pedals.
