The 2017 Kia Forte Earns the IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus Rating

Safe driving is of the upmost importance in Conshohocken. While you as the driver play a huge roll in roadway safety, so does your vehicle. And the 2017 Kia Forte is ready to play the part. The Forte recently earned the Top Safety Pick Plus rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the highest safety rating available.

In order to be named an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus, a vehicle is subjected to five crash tests - including small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side impact, roof strength, and head restraints - and must earn a rating of "good". They also must earn a rating of "advanced" or "superior" for crash prevention, and a rating of "acceptable" or "good" for headlights.

The Forte offers a plethora of safety features that both prevent accidents, and protect you if one happens. Blind Spot Detection alerts you when there's a vehicle alongside you might not be able to see, while Lane Change Assist warns you if you start to drift out of your lane. Rear Cross Traffic Alert and the Rear-Camera Display give you extra sets of eyes behind. And if an accident does happen, the advanced airbag system and reinforced body are ready to come to your defense.
